Delta is home to Warri, a town where one of nigeria’s oil refineries is located. The capital of the state is Asaba. Aside being an oil producer, Delta state is also a producer of agricultural crops in Nigeria.

Oyo state is a Yoruba state, located in the South western part of the country just as Lagos. This is the 4th richest state in the country. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people living in this area. The cocoa house, the first skyscraper in Africa is located in this state and it is built from proceeds of Cocoa. Among other tourist attractions, Oyo state is home to NTA Ibadan, the first TV station in Nigeria, the old Oyo National Park, the Zoological garden and the famous old Oyo empire historical site. It is also home to the first university in Nigeria; University of Ibadan.
5. IMO STATE ($14,212)
Imo state is the richest state in the south eastern part of the country and has the city of Owerri as its capital. It ranks number 5 on the list of richest states in Nigeria. This state is an oil producer. Aside being an oil producer, the state depends primarily on agriculture and trade.
6. KANO STATE ($12,393)
Kano state is the richest state in Northern Nigeria and the most industrialized state in the region. This state is the most populous state in Nigeria according to the 2006 census. The state is one of the most commercially inclined states in Nigeria. Kano state is a major agricultural producer in the country. Aside this, it is an industrial state and a leading commercial state in Nigeria. Kano state has the largest Local Government Areas in Nigeria. It home to the popular Old Kano city wall.
